Channing Tatum Reflects on "My Name is Jeff" Line from 22 Jump Street and Hints at Third Film

Channing Tatum recently shared a humorous anecdote about his experiences with fans quoting a famous line from his film 22 Jump Street. In an interview with CinemaBlend, Tatum revealed that he often hears the line “My name is Jeff” during airport security checks.

The line “My name is Jeff” is from the movie 22 jump street of the year 2014 which is a comedy film where Tatum says this line comedically. Tatum said that when he read the line during the script table read, he did not think it was very funny though he later became a fan of the show. But it got popular among the fans.

Channing Tatum said that had explained how people had adopted the line as a comedian’s byword — especially during checkpoints at airports by the TSA security services. He said, “I have never gone through TSA without someone saying ‘ My name is Jeff. ’ It has for instance occurred almost every time I passed through TSA. ”

22 Jump Street is the second movie of the 21 Jump Street series; it is also an adaptation of the 21 Jump Street television series which originated in the 1980s. Laid down by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the films are depicting the two police officers in high school. The first film in 2012, which became top-grossing, hit the mark of 200 million at box offices. The sequel also had a good opening and it was the second best R rated comedy opening of all time.

In a recent interview he had with ComicBook. com, Tatum said he would always be up for another Jump Street movie. He said that a script had been written and it was undoubtedly the best script he has ever read. There were also rumors of crossover of the movie with Men in Black, this must be done with Sony and it is not clear if it will be given the green light.

Channing Tatum’s latest movie Blink Twice, a psychological thriller, co-scripted and directed by Zoë Kravitz, is now showing.

Tatum’s story about the airport quote shows how a small moment from a film can have a lasting impact and become a fun part of an actor’s life.
