Fans of Call the Midwife have some exciting news! Season 13 of the popular British drama will be available to stream on Netflix starting September 2, 2024, for viewers in the US. In the UK, it will be available a day earlier, on September 1.

About “Call the Midwife” Season 13

The Season 13 of Call the Midwife began on PBS on the 17th March, 2024 and ended on the 15th May, 2024. This season consists of all nine episodes of the show as well as a Christmas special. The Christmas special will also be shown on PBS on December 25 at 8/7c.

However, YouTube, Apple TV, and Prime Video have scenes from Call the Midwife’s previous seasons available for rent. New episodes of the season that are currently airing are also available online on PBS’s website, where they are available about a month after the completion of the season.

It is currently in its Season 14 of production with the new season featuring events taking place in 1970. There was good news on the storyline front from Heidi Thomas, writer and executive producer too: ‘Season 14 is going to be set in the new decade and that surely means new stories from Nonnatus House.’ The new season is expected to be aired on BBC in January 2025 while its American airing is expected to be in the following few months.

Call the Midwife is a British drama series which started in the 1950s based on the lives of nurse midwives in East London. The show has received a lot of accolades due to the natural and believable way it depicts midwifery and family.

The show currently airs on Netflix, while the previous seasons have been released in prior years. The series has been renewed for other seasons and the 15th season has already been planned and will be based on the 1970s.

For now, Netflix will only show Season 13 in the US and the UK. There are no current plans to release it in other countries.
