Beau DeMayo Exit from Marvel
Beau DeMayo was involved in the development of X-Men ’97 and other Marvel titles. But he was dismissed by Marvel Studios in march this year. It was not immediately apparent why he had been fired, although DeMayo has provided some information about the event.
DeMayo has gone on record stating that he won’t get writer’s credit for his work on the second season of X-Men ’97. The scenes which he shot before he left for marvels were the ones he completed shooting. To underscore this point, he posted Meme Magic Week photos of himself as Cyclops.
DeMayo in his post said that he was experiencing some recurrent issues within Marvel. Blade was another project he discussed, as well as inconsistencies in Moon Knight. The specifics of these problems are not very clear and are linked with his resignation.
Marvel’s Response
Marvel Studios’ reaction was that DeMayo was dismissed based on the outcomes of the internal probe.
