Actor Akhil Akkineni is all set to return to theatres with his upcoming film Lenin. However, the makers have now decided to postpone the release date to avoid a box office clash with another big film, Peddi, starring Ram Charan.
Lenin New Release Date Announced
Lenin was earlier scheduled to release on May 1, 2026. But the makers have now officially shifted the release to June 26, 2026. The decision was shared by the production house Annapurna Studios through an official statement.
The team mentioned that they want to ensure a smooth release and give the film a proper chance at the box office without facing competition from another major release.
Reason Behind the Postponement
The main reason for the delay is to avoid a clash with Peddi, which is releasing around the same time. The makers of Lenin felt it would be better to give both films their own space.
They also expressed respect towards Ram Charan and mentioned the bond shared between both actors. The team said the decision was taken in a positive spirit, keeping in mind the larger interest of cinema.
