Song reportedly filmed in Ladakh
The special track was reportedly filmed in Ladakh, the same location where the original FA9LA sequence was shot. The filmmakers decided to shoot both sequences during the same schedule while the set was already prepared.
The shooting conditions in Ladakh can be extremely challenging because of the weather and difficult terrain. Because of this, the production team chose to complete the filming of both songs together rather than returning later for another shoot.
This decision helped the team save time while also maintaining visual continuity between the two songs.
Ranveer Singh’s character takes a different approach
While the FA9LA song became famous for Akshaye Khanna’s energetic dance performance, the new sequence in Dhurandhar 2 will show a different side of Ranveer Singh’s character.
Hamza Ali Mazari is portrayed as a serious and mission-driven figure. Because of this personality, the character will not perform dance moves in the song. Instead, the sequence will focus on background dancers while Hamza appears in a powerful and intense presence.
This contrast highlights the difference between the flamboyant personality of Rehman Dakait and the focused nature of Hamza.
Akshaye Khanna’s FA9LA moment became iconic
In the first film, the FA9LA song gained massive attention because of Akshaye Khanna’s unexpected dance performance. Interestingly, those dance moves were not part of the original plan.
During filming, the actor spontaneously added a few steps, and director Aditya Dhar decided to keep them in the final version of the song. The moment later became one of the most talked-about scenes from the movie.
