Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor has started filming the next schedule of the much-anticipated Ramayana Part 2 in Mumbai. The mythological epic stars Ranbir as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash in a key role. With the filming of Love And War postponed due to director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s health concerns, Ranbir has shifted his full focus to completing crucial portions of Ramayana Part 2.
Currently, Ranbir is seen sporting a clean-shaven look, part of his transformation into Lord Ram. This look ensures continuity from the first part and helps maintain the visual authenticity of the epic. The team aims to finish a major part of the shoot between March and May 2026.
Sunny Deol to Join as Lord Hanuman
Actor Sunny Deol, portraying Lord Hanuman, will join Ranbir Kapoor for shooting around March 20. This schedule is significant as it includes scenes featuring both Lord Ram and Lord Hanuman, which are central to the narrative. Their combined sequences are expected to add depth and grandeur to the storytelling, reflecting the epic’s scale.
With Ranbir already filming in Mumbai, Sunny Deol’s arrival will mark an important phase for the project. The production team is working meticulously to capture the mythological essence and maintain the cinematic standards set by the first part.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, Ramayana is a two-part epic based on the Indian mythological tale.
