On March 4, 2026, Abhijeet shared a message on Instagram, saying, “My son Jay Bhattacharya is currently stuck in Dubai, and as a father, this is an incredibly distressing time for our family. I sincerely request the Government of India and the Ministry of External Affairs to kindly look into his situation and help ensure his safe return to India at the earliest. Please help bring him home safely.”
This emotional post highlighted the worries of a parent during an uncertain time. Abhijeet’s message called for urgent support and intervention, emphasizing his concern for his son’s safety.
Other Celebrities Affected
Abhijeet is not the only Indian celebrity affected by the airport disruptions. Actor Ammy Virk’s wife and six-year-old daughter were also stranded in Dubai. Ammy shared his emotional stress on social media, explaining how difficult it was to be away from his family during a tense situation. He recalled how his daughter tried to reassure him, saying, “Papa, I will hide under my bed if something happens. I’m a strong girl, Papa, don’t worry.”

Actors Esha Gupta and Sonal Chauhan were also briefly stuck but have since returned safely. Esha described the airport chaos, saying flights were suddenly halted on February 28, leaving travellers uncertain and anxious. She expressed gratitude for safely returning home.
