Sangeetha Sornalingam filed the divorce petition at the Chengalpattu Family Court, citing allegations of Vijay’s extramarital relationship with an actress. The court has issued a notice to Vijay, directing him to appear in person on April 20.
The petition states that Sangeetha discovered Vijay’s alleged relationship in April 2021. She described the situation as causing “deep emotional pain and mental suffering, amounting to betrayal and violation of marital trust.” Despite Vijay’s initial assurances to end the relationship, Sangeetha claims it continued, resulting in emotional neglect, public humiliation, and mental cruelty.
