During the Season 14 reunion of RHOBH, host Andy Cohen brought up how Erika wanted Garcelle Beauvais and Sutton Stracke to open up more. Erika openly pushed Garcelle to talk about her dating life and even said she wished Garcelle was “more interesting.” Garcelle responded by explaining that her divorce happened before she joined the show and that she had already been open about it. The exchange left Garcelle feeling attacked, and she later exited the show, upsetting many fans.
Now, fans are pointing out the contrast between Erika’s past comments and her current actions. In a recent interview with US Weekly, Erika spoke briefly about her relationship with John McPhee. She shared that they met while she was in London for a music festival and described him as confident, intelligent, and calming. However, she also made it clear that she does not want her relationship heavily featured on the show, and her castmates have not met him yet.
Erika explained that she wants to protect the relationship because reality TV can be damaging. She said she has already gone through too much in her personal life and wants to keep something special just for herself. She also mentioned that John has never watched RHOBH and that being with him brings her peace. Despite this explanation, some fans were not convinced and criticized her online, calling her the least interesting person on the show.
