Kimora, a fashion mogul and reality TV star, said she does not have a strong relationship with Russell. The couple shares two daughters, Ming Lee, 25, and Aoki Lee, 23. In a Threads post on December 14, Russell shared his side of the story. He claimed that he had supported Kimora financially, giving her $50,000 per month for 20 years, and described himself as her friend and as the godfather to her other three children. He said that he has been fighting for love and connection with his kids ever since disagreements arose between them. Russell also accused Kimora of threatening him, saying that if he sued, he would lose contact with his children.

Kimora, in her interviews, explained that co-parenting is difficult. She said she tries to maintain a healthy relationship and environment for the children, but it requires effort from both parents. She admitted that currently, she is doing most of the parenting herself. She noted that her children spend most of their time with her and have limited contact with the other parents. Kimora emphasized that the children’s relationships are theirs to have and not hers to control.
Despite the disagreement, both parents seem focused on their children’s well-being. Kimora said her children have strong support from family and close friends. “It takes a village,” she said, adding that her kids are surrounded by people who care about them. Russell, on his part, appears to be seeking more involvement in his daughters’ lives and ensuring his relationship with them is maintained.
