Icy Wong Celebrates Husband Fung Pak-kei’s First Hong Kong Horse Racing Victory at Sha Tin

Icy Wong, a former TVB weather presenter, recently celebrated her husband Fung Pak-kei’s first horse racing win in Hong Kong. The victory came on Sunday, December 7th, when Fung’s horse, Glory Cloud (H320), won a Class 5, 1,200-meter dirt race at Sha Tin. Wong shared her excitement on social media, and close friend and Best Actress winner Katy Kung joined her in the winner’s enclosure for photos.

Wong often attends horse races to support Glory Cloud. She posted an edited video of past visits and wrote: “Glory Cloud, your chance finally came. We’ve waited so long. Proud of you. Thank you to all the fans who supported Glory Cloud.” Her friend Katy Kung reshared the post with heart emojis, showing her support for the happy moment.

Icy Wong has a strong background in media. She graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong’s School of Journalism and Communication in 2006. She joined TVB News as a reporter and was later chosen in 2009 to host the Late-Night Weather Report. Her popular catchphrase, “Let’s step out of Hong Kong together,” made her famous with viewers. She later hosted World Cup programs before moving into horse racing media.

Through her work in racing media on the Hong Kong Jockey Club program “Racing to Win the World,” Wong met Fung Pak-kei. The couple married in 2014 and have two daughters. Their wedding included a ceremony in Italy and a 50-table banquet at the InterContinental Hong Kong, reportedly costing over HK$3 million. Wong continues to develop her skills, including studying bread-making at Le Cordon Bleu in Tokyo and earning a Master of Arts in Buddhist Studies from CUHK.
