Hong Kong hip-hop duo Fama, made up of Sze-kwan “C Kwan” Cheng and Billy Luk Wing Kuen, has reached an important milestone as they celebrate 25 years in the entertainment industry. To mark this special moment, the pair announced the launch of their own company, So Fa So Cool. This new venture represents the next step in their long career, allowing them to move beyond performing and take on bigger creative roles in promotion, production, and content creation.
Fama Celebrates 25 Years With New Company Launch
Fama shared the news on social media, expressing gratitude for their long journey from the underground music scene to becoming well-known entertainers in Hong Kong. They said their goal with So Fa So Cool is to create a wider platform where artists, partners, investors, and creatives can work together. The duo hopes their company will become a space for new ideas, shared projects, and long-term collaboration, helping more talent shine across the industry.
The duo first gained mainstream attention with their hit song “456Wing,” which received strong radio support and quickly became popular online. Their early success opened many doors, leading them to join CMD, the music label co-founded by Edison Chen and Hanjin Tan. One of their biggest breakthroughs came with the track “Feng Sheng Shui Qi,” a collaboration with well-known feng shui master Mak Ling-ling. The song became a street favourite and strengthened their position as cultural icons in Hong Kong.

In 2010, Fama decided to leave CMD and continue their career under the guidance of their longtime manager, DJ Tommy, at TG Management. Under his support, they expanded their work not just as rappers but also as television hosts, entertainers, and public personalities. Their versatility helped them stay relevant and beloved throughout the years, allowing them to connect with a wide range of audiences.
