YouTuber Jack Doherty was arrested early Saturday morning in Miami Beach and is now facing drug-related charges, according to police records. The 22-year-old content creator, who lives in Plantation, Florida, was taken into custody in the busy Entertainment District. Officers said they found him standing in the middle of the road while holding his phone and ignoring repeated commands to move to safety.

Police reported that the incident happened around 3:10 a.m. on the 700 block of Washington Avenue. According to the Miami Beach Police Department, Doherty told officers, “Once I’m done with this bet,” when they tried to get him to leave the roadway. Officers then searched him and said they discovered half of an orange pill marked with the number “3,” which they believe is a Schedule II amphetamine. They also found a small black container holding three hand-rolled cannabis cigarettes.

After the arrest, Doherty was taken to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center just before 9 a.m. Records show that he was booked on three charges: a felony count of possessing a controlled substance, and two misdemeanor counts for possessing less than 20 grams of marijuana and resisting arrest without violence. Prosecutors filed the case later in the afternoon, and Miami-Dade County Circuit Judge Carlos Gamez is expected to oversee the proceedings.
Doherty was able to post a $35,000 bond and left the correctional center around 8 p.m. on Saturday. Local 10 News reported that body-camera footage from the Miami Beach Police Department shows the interaction between Doherty and officers, and additional video clips from witnesses were also shared online.
