The 20th Birthday Party episode featured two rounds of dance performances. In the first round, each couple performed a dance inspired by memorable freestyle routines from past seasons. The second round was the relay dance, where two couples performed to the same song one after the other and the judges picked a winner to award two bonus points. The ballroom was also filled with six former mirrorball champions who danced alongside the current contestants, making the night nostalgic for longtime fans.

Among the highlights of the evening, Robert Irwin and Witney Carson earned the first perfect score of the season with a touching tribute to Robert’s late father, Steve Irwin. Their dance, performed to the same song used by Robert’s sister Bindi in her winning freestyle, moved both the judges and the audience. Dylan Efron, Alix Earle, and Whitney Leavitt also impressed the judges by earning perfect 40/40 scores, showing how competitive the season has become.

Unfortunately, Andy Richter and Emma Slater ended up at the bottom with 29 points and were eliminated from the competition.
