“Saturday Night Live” (SNL) is returning this weekend with its fifth episode of Season 51, featuring Cincinnati-born comedian Nikki Glaser as the host. This will be Nikki’s first time hosting the popular late-night comedy show. She joins other big names like Amy Poehler, Bad Bunny, and Sabrina Carpenter, who have already hosted earlier this season. The show will air on Saturday, November 8, at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC.

Nikki Glaser, 41, was born in Cincinnati but grew up mostly in St. Louis, Missouri. She began performing stand-up comedy at just 18 years old and wrote her first jokes while studying at the University of Colorado Boulder. Later, she completed her English degree at the University of Kansas. Over the years, Nikki has become one of the most well-known female comedians, earning fame from her appearances on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and “Last Comic Standing.” She has also released two comedy specials—“Perfect” in 2016 and “Bangin’” in 2019 and even made history as the first solo female host of the Golden Globes in 2025.

The musical guest for the November 8 episode is Sombr, a 20-year-old rising pop singer whose real name is Shane Michael Boose. He first gained attention with his single “Nothing Left to Say” in 2021 and later became popular with songs from his debut album I Barely Know Her. His tracks “Undressed” and “Back to Friends” went viral on TikTok and performed strongly on the Billboard charts. Sombr also won the Best Alternative Video award for “Back to Friends” at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, marking his growing success in the music industry.

Fans can watch “Saturday Night Live” live on NBC or stream it on Peacock with a premium subscription. Those with a basic Peacock plan can watch new episodes the following day. Viewers can also tune in through Hulu + Live TV or watch on regular Hulu the day after the broadcast.
