The film features a strong cast including Anupama Parameswaran, Pasupathy, Lal, Kalaiyarasan, and Rajisha Vijayan, with soulful music composed by Nivas K. Prasanna. It is said to be inspired by the life of Arjuna Award-winning kabaddi player Manathi Ganesan from Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu.
Among the many people praising the movie, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin shared a heartfelt message on his social media account. He called ‘Bison’ a “diamond in Mari Selvaraj’s crown,” appreciating how the director has beautifully mixed sports, politics, and social awareness in his storytelling. Stalin wrote that the film shows the life and dreams of a young man from a small village in a “touching and powerful way.”

He also congratulated the movie’s cast and crew, especially Dhruv Vikram, for bringing the story to life with emotion and honesty. “My heartfelt wishes to everyone who made this meaningful film possible,” Stalin said.
