However, during its second week, Kantara: A Legend Chapter 1 could not surpass Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava in terms of box office collections for the second Tuesday of the year. On that day, Kantara earned Rs 13.50 crore, while Chhaava had earned Rs 18.5 crore. Despite this, Kantara has still performed better than other films like Saiyaara, which had earned Rs 10 crore on its second Tuesday.

Currently, the total box office collection of Kantara: A Legend Chapter 1 stands at Rs 465.75 crore, and the film is expected to cross Rs 500 crore soon. The success of the movie has already led the makers to announce a third part, which will continue the story from the climax of the second part. However, Rishab Shetty will focus on other projects, including his upcoming biopics on Jai Hanuman and Chhatrapathi Shivaji Maharaj, before returning to the franchise.
