During a recent episode of Bigg Boss 19’s Weekend Ka Vaar, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan reacted strongly to director AR Murugadoss’s comments about his working style during the making of their film Sikandar. The actor denied the filmmaker’s claims that he arrived late on the movie set and revealed that he was injured during the shoot.
Salman Khan slams AR Murugadoss over Sikandar
Salman, whose film Sikandar did not perform well at the box office, said he had no regrets about doing it. When comedian Ravi Gupta asked him to name the films he regretted doing, Salman mentioned his old movies Suryavanshi and Nishchay. He added that he didn’t regret Sikandar because it had a strong story and concept.
Taking a dig at AR Murugadoss, Salman said jokingly, “I used to reach the set at 9 PM because my ribs were broken, and that caused issues. The director complained about my timing, but in his latest film, the actor used to reach the set by 6 PM.” He further added that both Murugadoss and producer Sajid Nadiadwala tried to distance themselves from the project after it failed at the box office.

Salman also took an indirect jibe at Murugadoss’s recent South Indian film Madharaasi, saying it was “a very big film and an even bigger blockbuster than Sikandar,” hinting at its poor performance.
Earlier, AR Murugadoss had said in an interview that Sikandar was difficult to shoot because Salman would reach the set only at night. He mentioned that they had to shoot day scenes at 2 AM, which made things hard, especially for child actors. He also admitted that he failed to execute the emotional story properly.
