Abhishek Bachchan played the role of Arjun Das, a real-life cancer survivor, in the movie. He described the role as deeply meaningful and challenging. “Portraying Arjun Das was an emotional journey. His courage and determination through life inspired me a lot,” he shared. He added that once he connected with Arjun’s life story, acting came naturally.
The actor gave full credit to his director Shoojit Sircar for shaping his performance. “All the credit goes to Shoojit Sircar. I was like a puppet in his hands. Our preparation was unique. Instead of regular script readings, we spent months talking about life, philosophy, and spirituality,” Abhishek explained. This approach helped him understand how his character would think, feel, and react in different situations.
