The show promises an intriguing storyline with multiple tracks, and Shraddha plays Raksha, a political campaign manager with ambition, intelligence, and many layers.
Shraddha Das Talks No-Makeup Role Experience
To bring authenticity to her character, Shraddha had to completely shed her glamorous image. She shares that the director Rohan Sippy and cinematographer Murzy instructed her to avoid makeup, including kajal, on the sets. “Since Raksha is a political campaign manager, my look was kept simple with cotton saris and neatly tied hair,” she said. This helped her fully immerse into the role and look realistic on screen.

Shraddha also shared a funny memory from the set. On the first day of shooting, she applied a little kajal to her eyes, but it was immediately removed. When she tried again a few times, the team nicknamed her “Kajal.” However, she admits that sticking to the no-makeup rule was beneficial. “In hindsight, I’m glad they insisted on it because the completely natural look perfectly complements my character and the political tone of the series,” she said.
Shraddha Das has previously appeared in both Hindi and South Indian films and is known for taking up diverse roles. She enjoyed portraying Raksha, a character with depth, ambition, and strategy. The no-makeup look helped her connect more with the character, making her performance authentic and relatable.
