Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal has finally reacted to the cheating allegations made by his ex-wife Dhanashree Verma. The dancer and influencer recently claimed that she caught Chahal cheating on her just two months after their wedding. Responding to these claims, Chahal called them “baseless and exhausting.”

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Yuzvendra Chahal said that if he had cheated so early in the marriage, it would not have lasted over four years. “I am a sportsperson, I do not cheat. If someone cheats within two months, will the marriage last for 4.5 years?” he said. The cricketer added that this chapter of his life is “over and done” and that he has already moved on.
Yuzvendra Chahal also mentioned that some people are still using his name to get attention. “Their house is running on my name, so they can continue doing that. I am not affected anymore,” he said. The 35-year-old spinner made it clear that this would be the last time he talks about his past relationship. “I have moved forward. People say many things on social media, but only those who matter know the truth,” he added.
Yuzvendra and Dhanashree got married in December 2020, after meeting during the Covid-19 lockdown when Chahal joined her online dance classes. However, the couple filed for divorce in February 2024, and their separation was finalized earlier this year. Reports say Dhanashree received around ₹4.75 crore as alimony after the Bombay High Court granted them a quick settlement before IPL 2025.
After the divorce, Chahal made headlines for wearing a T-shirt that said “Be Your Own Sugar Daddy.” He later revealed it was meant to send a message, not create drama.
Currently, Chahal is focusing on his career and personal growth. He is rumored to be dating RJ Mahvash, but neither of them has confirmed the relationship. “I am focusing on my game and my life,” Chahal concluded.
