Filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga, known for blockbuster films like Arjun Reddy and Animal, has praised Rishab Shetty’s new film Kantara Chapter 1. Taking to social media, Vanga called the movie a “true masterpiece” and said that Indian cinema has never seen anything like it before. In another post, Rishab shared his journey from struggling to get a single evening show for his films in 2016 to now achieving 5,000 houseful shows on the opening day in 2025. He credited this success to fans’ love, blessings, and God’s grace.
Amid the excitement, Rishab also urged fans not to support piracy. He reminded audiences that Kantara Chapter 1 is a film made with passion and devotion, and its true magic can only be felt on the big screen. He requested viewers not to record or share videos online, so that everyone can enjoy the theatrical experience as intended.

Kantara Chapter 1 released on Thursday in multiple languages, including Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, Bengali, and English. The film opened to an extraordinary response, collecting around ₹60 crore net in India on its very first day. Worldwide, its collections are even higher, putting it among the biggest openers of 2025.
