Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt recently shared a fun and personal story about her relationship with her husband, Ranbir Kapoor, on the show Too Much with Twinkle Khanna and Kajol. Alia opened up about her first conversation with her father, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, about being in love. She said that her father did not give her advice but instead reassured her in a unique way. “I told him I’m in love and he said, ‘I see it in your eyes, my child,’” Alia recalled.

Alia Bhatt also talked about how Ranbir met her father for the first time. She shared a humorous moment when her father asked Ranbir to come downstairs while she was being dropped at Ranbir’s home. Ranbir bowed down with folded hands to Mahesh Bhatt, showing respect. Alia explained that this moment reflected her father’s happiness and approval.
The actress also described her relationship with Ranbir as more like a friendship than a romantic storybook love. She said, “Ranbir and I have a natural friendship. There was always a relationship like best friends. I married him because he is wonderful to me as a human being. But the person I love trolling the most is him, and the person he loves trolling the most is me.”

Since the birth of their daughter Raha, Alia Bhatt shared that their relationship has changed and grown stronger. She explained that they now function more as a unit and take care of each other as a family. She also joked about how protective Ranbir would be as a father. Alia said, “I can’t imagine Ranbir being this easy-going with Raha. He will kick out any boy who comes to the house.”

Alia and Ranbir come from two of Bollywood’s most famous families. Ranbir belongs to the Kapoor family, often called Hindi cinema’s first family, and Alia belongs to the Mahesh Bhatt family.
