Amitabh Bachchan playfully praised “Abhishek Bachchan” in his tweet and wrote about India’s big win against Pakistan. He said, “T 5516(i) – Jeet gaye!! Well played, ‘Abhishek Bachchan’.” He further added, “Without batting, bowling, or fielding, you defeated the enemy! Bolti bandh!! Jai Hind! Jai Bharat! Jai Maa Durga!” The tweet included laughing emojis, showing his lighthearted approach to the match’s excitement.
The confusion started during a cricket talk show, Game On Hai, where Shoaib Akhtar mistakenly used Abhishek Bachchan’s name. He said, “If Pakistan gets Abhishek Bachchan out early… what will happen to the middle-order?” The hosts quickly corrected him, explaining that he meant Abhishek Sharma, a young Indian opener who has performed consistently with back-to-back half-centuries in the tournament.
Abhishek Bachchan also responded to the mix-up on social media. He humorously commented, “Sir, with all due respect… don’t think they’ll even manage that! And I’m not even good at playing cricket.” Fans loved the witty exchanges and shared them widely online.
