Filmmaker Abhinav Kashyap, brother of director Anurag Kashyap, has once again spoken against Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. Abhinav claims that Salman’s recent support for Anurag’s new film, Nishaanchi, is not genuine. According to him, this praise is only meant to silence Abhinav and cover up past disagreements.

Abhinav Kashyap shared his views with Bollywood Thikana, saying, “It is written in Salman Khan’s destiny that he will lick our boots.” He suggested that Salman is pretending to be supportive while actually trying to stop Abhinav from speaking out. He added that Anurag may be used as a middleman to influence him.

The feud between Abhinav Kashyap and Salman dates back to the making of Tere Naam in 2003. During that time, Anurag Kashyap was involved in the project but eventually left due to creative differences with Salman and the producers. Abhinav highlighted that his brother was not asked to leave, but the situation led to tension on the set. He compared this to the late actor Amjad Khan’s experience with Salman’s father, Salim Khan, when trust issues affected their professional relationship.
Tere Naam, directed by Satish Kaushik, starred Salman Khan and Bhumika Chawla. The film was a remake of the Tamil hit Sethu and told the tragic love story of Radhe, a rebellious young man who falls for a simple college girl. The film became a cult classic, known for Salman’s intense performance, long-haired look, and Himesh Reshammiya’s music. Despite its success, the film’s production left behind unresolved conflicts, which Abhinav Kashyap still recalls.

Abhinav also criticized the Bollywood system, saying that talentless people often get ahead by pleasing the right people rather than through genuine work. He feels that Salman’s recent praise for Anurag’s film is a part of this pattern.
