Bollywood actress Amrita Rao recently shared a memorable experience with superstar Shah Rukh Khan that happened more than 20 years ago. She spoke about how SRK encouraged her during the filming of Farah Khan’s Main Hoon Na and gave her advice that has guided her career choices ever since.

Amrita Rao revealed on a podcast with Ranveer Allahbadia that Shah Rukh Khan was very supportive and kind on the sets of the film. During a break in shooting, he even invited Amrita and her mother to meet him. SRK praised her talents and told her that she had the qualities of a superstar. His encouragement gave her a lot of confidence as a newcomer in Bollywood.

He also shared important advice about choosing films carefully. Shah Rukh said, “I will be offered 200 films, but I must sign only two in the hope that one of them is the film people are waiting for.” Amrita explained that this advice became her principle when picking roles, helping her remain selective and focused throughout her acting career.
Amrita also remembered SRK’s dedication on the set. He was extremely focused during every scene and helped newcomers manage their nervous energy. She said that because of his focus and discipline, the first take of every scene was often the best, without needing a second take. His professional attitude left a lasting impression on her.

On the work front, Amrita Rao was recently seen in Jolly LLB 3, acting alongside Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi, and Huma Qureshi. Shah Rukh Khan, meanwhile, was last seen in hit films like Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki, and he is currently shooting for Siddharth Anand’s upcoming film King, which features a star-studded cast including Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, and Suhana Khan.
