Marvin Jones III is not new to the character. He previously voiced Tombstone in the animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and is also involved in the upcoming sequel Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. Tombstone, whose real name is Lonnie Lincoln, is one of New York’s most dangerous crime bosses in the Spider-Man comics. He is known for his hulking size, albino appearance, nearly indestructible skin, and intimidating presence, making him a perfect challenge for Spider-Man. The character first appeared in Web of Spider-Man #36 in March 1988.

Jones has earned recognition for his role as the villain Tobias Whale in Black Lightning on The CW, showing his skill in portraying strong, menacing characters. Fans are excited to see him bring Tombstone to life in the live-action Spider-Man universe.
