The much-awaited film They Call Him OG, starring Pawan Kalyan, will hit theatres on September 25, 2025. Directed by Sujeeth, the movie also features Emraan Hashmi, Priyanka Mohan, Arjun Das, and Prakash Raj in important roles. Emraan Hashmi will be making his Telugu cinema debut with this gangster drama.
Pawan Kalyan’s OG Gets Telangana Ticket Hike
The Telangana government has given special permission for an early premiere show on September 24. Tickets for this premiere will be priced at ₹800, which has surprised many fans. Interestingly, in Andhra Pradesh, the earliest permitted shows will start at 1 AM on September 25, with tickets priced even higher at ₹1000 for benefit shows.
Along with the special premiere, the government has also allowed an increase in ticket prices for the first 10 days of release (September 25 – October 4). For single-screen theatres, ticket prices will go up by ₹100, while in multiplexes, prices will rise by ₹150. After this hike, the average ticket price will be ₹277 in single screens and ₹445 in multiplexes.

This decision has received mixed reactions. While some fans are excited and ready to pay higher prices to watch Pawan Kalyan’s film first, others feel that both Telangana (TS) and Andhra Pradesh (AP) should have equal rules for early shows and pricing. Many fans shared their opinions on social media, with some asking why Telangana was allowed an earlier show while AP was not.
They Call Him OG is said to be a gangster drama set in Mumbai, with Pawan Kalyan playing the role of Ojas Gambheera, a powerful and intense character. The film is produced by DVV Danayya and Kalyan Dasari under DVV Entertainment, the same banner behind big projects like RRR. Music for the film is composed by Thaman S.
