In an interview, Manoj Bajpayee described discussing the award as “a useless conversation.” He explained that the past cannot be changed, and dwelling on awards is not productive. “It is gone. When it comes to Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai, yes, it is a very special film in my filmography, and so was Joram,” he said. Bajpayee emphasized that while these films will always hold a special place in his career, he prefers to focus on his craft rather than awards or recognition.

The actor further highlighted that his respect and dedication toward acting remain his top priorities. “I take care of my respect very cautiously when choosing a film, and I am responsible for the actor that I am,” Bajpayee said. He also pointed out that it is up to award organizations to maintain their credibility and that he cannot control their decisions. “If somebody else loses their respect, they should think about it,” he added.

Manoj Bajpayee also discussed the challenges actors face today, saying that misconceptions about acting have grown over time, which can feel irritating, annoying, and even humiliating for trained actors. “It is humiliating for those who have been trained and working for many years,” he remarked.
