Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently shared her admiration for Dulquer Salmaan’s latest production, Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra. The movie, which features Kalyani Priyadarshan as India’s first female superhero, has not only turned into a box office success but also won the hearts of audiences and celebrities alike.

After watching the film, Samantha took to her Instagram stories to express how deeply the movie touched her. She wrote that every frame of the film was visually stunning, with powerful action and sound design that created an immersive experience. However, what impressed her most was Kalyani Priyadarshan’s portrayal of Chandra, the female superhero. Samantha mentioned that seeing India’s first woman superhero on the big screen gave her goosebumps. She added that the film was “something truly special” and would stay with her for a long time.

Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra tells the story of Chandra, played by Kalyani Priyadarshan, who returns to Bengaluru after living in Sweden for twenty years. While leading an ordinary life by day, Chandra secretly takes on heroic duties at night. Two boys from her neighborhood, Sunny and Venu, begin to notice her unusual activities and slowly uncover her past, forming the core of the gripping narrative.
Produced by Dulquer Salmaan, the film combines action, emotion, and mystery while highlighting the rise of a new superhero. The visual effects, storyline, and performances have been widely praised, making it a turning point for female-led superhero films in Indian cinema.
On Saturday, the film even received a tribute from Amul, which called it “Lokahl superhero, chapter 1 of breakfast,” celebrating its cultural impact.
