Tiger Shroff’s latest action drama Baaghi 4 has finally hit the theatres, but the film has not managed to make a strong beginning at the box office. Released on Friday, the movie opened to a collection of around ₹12 crore on its first day, which is lower than the earlier films of the Baaghi franchise.
Baaghi 4 opens weak, earns only ₹12 crore
The first Baaghi in 2016 had earned ₹11.85 crore on opening day, but the later parts performed much better. Baaghi 2 had a massive start with ₹25.10 crore, while Baaghi 3 collected ₹17.5 crore on day one. In comparison, the numbers of Baaghi 4 are seen as disappointing for such a popular franchise.

The film features Tiger Shroff in an intense action role, supported by a strong cast including Sanjay Dutt, Harnaaz Sandhu, Sonam Bajwa, Shreyas Talpade, Saurabh Sachdeva, and Upendra Limaye. Directed by A Harsha and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the movie promised high-octane stunts and drama. However, early reports suggest that despite Tiger’s action skills, the film lacks a solid storyline, which may have affected audience interest.
According to box office tracking site Sacnilk, Baaghi 4 had an overall 25.35% occupancy in Hindi theatres on Friday. The movie is also facing stiff competition from other releases such as Param Sundari, The Bengal Files, and the Hollywood horror film The Conjuring: Last Rites, which opened much stronger at ₹18 crore.

Reviews of Baaghi 4 have been mixed to negative. While some fans enjoyed the action, others criticized the film for being too violent without a proper plot. A Hindustan Times review mentioned that after Sanjay Dutt’s entry, the story lost direction and turned into an unconvincing action fest.
Still, all eyes are on the weekend. If the film manages to grow in collections on Saturday and Sunday, it may recover from the slow start. For now, though, the opening is clearly below expectations for a Tiger Shroff franchise film.
