Bollywood actress Kajol, who has been winning hearts with her strong performances in recent years, has made a clear statement about her daughter Nysa Devgan. In a recent interview, Kajol said that Nysa has no plans to enter the film industry.
Kajol Says Nysa Devgan Won’t Join Bollywood
Kajol, who impressed audiences with movies like Do Patti (2024), Maa, and most recently Sarzameen, opened up about her daughter’s career choices. She said, “Nysa is 22 years old and she has made up her mind that she is not stepping into acting.” This statement has ended all speculations about whether Nysa will follow in the footsteps of her famous parents, Kajol and Ajay Devgn.
The actress also spoke about the challenges that star kids, often called “nepo-babies,” face in Bollywood. According to her, children of actors are always under heavy scrutiny. Kajol explained that being judged—sometimes harshly or even unfairly—is part of the journey in the entertainment world. She believes every actor has to face both pros and cons of the profession, and no one can avoid it.
Interestingly, while Nysa Devgan has chosen a different path, many other star kids have stepped into Bollywood this year. Raveena Tandon’s daughter Rasha Thadani, Nysa’s cousin Aaman Devgan, and Ibrahim Ali Khan (Saif Ali Khan’s son) all made their debuts. Shanaya Kapoor, cousin of Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor, also started her career, while Ahaan Panday surprised everyone with his blockbuster debut.

Kajol’s honest views have highlighted that every individual, even if born into a film family, has the right to choose their own path. She also reminded people that nepotism does not guarantee success, as talent, hard work, and audience acceptance are what truly matter in the long run.
