In a major security operation, the Faridabad Police have arrested one of the shooters involved in the attack outside the residence of popular YouTuber Elvish Yadav in Gurugram. The incident took place on Sunday, August 17, 2025, while Yadav was away from home. The arrested shooter, identified as Ishant Gandhi, also known as Ishu, sustained a bullet injury in his leg during a retaliatory firing by police officers.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police, Crime, Mukesh Kumar, the encounter occurred early Friday morning, around 4 a.m. Ishant fired four rounds at the police vehicle while attempting to flee. Fortunately, no police personnel were injured. In response, the officers fired back, hitting Ishant in the leg just below the knee, after which he was taken into custody.
The attack outside Elvish Yadav’s multi-storey home involved three masked men, who fired multiple rounds while the YouTuber’s family was inside. CCTV footage later showed two of the suspects arriving on a motorcycle, firing from a distance, and then one of them leaning over the main gate to shoot before fleeing.

Police have not yet confirmed the motive behind the attack. However, the swift action by the Faridabad Police Crime Branch ensured that the suspect was apprehended safely without causing harm to the family or officers. The investigation is ongoing, and police are working to identify and arrest the remaining suspects involved in the shooting.
