Bollywood actor Gulshan Devaiah has officially joined the cast of Kantara: Chapter 1, the much-awaited prequel to Rishab Shetty’s blockbuster Kantara (2022). The makers revealed his first look on Tuesday, introducing him as “Kulshekara,” a powerful and royal character in the film.

The poster shows Devaiah in a regal avatar, wearing a crown and heavy jewels, giving audiences a glimpse of his commanding role. Sharing the poster on X, production house Hombale Films wrote, “Introducing @gulshandevaiah as ‘KULASHEKARA’ from the world of #KantaraChapter1. In cinemas October 2.”

Directed by and starring Rishab Shetty, Kantara: Chapter 1 is scheduled to release in theatres on October 2. The film is set as a prequel, exploring the origins of the world introduced in the first film. While Kantara told the story of conflicts between humans and nature in the backdrop of Karnataka’s folk traditions, this new chapter will take audiences deeper into its mythological roots and cultural essence.
Gulshan Devaiah is known for his strong performances in projects like Bad Cop and Ulajh.
