Prabhas’ upcoming film The Raja Saab has run into legal trouble before its release. Delhi-based company Ivy Entertainment has filed a case in the Delhi High Court against the movie’s co-producer, People Media Factory (PMF), over what they say are serious violations of their agreement.

According to Ivy Entertainment, they had signed two major deals with PMF one on January 25, 2023, for film rights acquisition and another on March 10, 2023, for theatrical rights. Under these agreements, Ivy invested around ₹218 crore into the project.

The company now claims that PMF did not fulfil key promises, including finishing and releasing the movie on time, providing monthly progress updates, sharing details about how funds were used, and handing over agreed materials connected to the film. They also accuse PMF of delaying the theatrical release multiple times.
Because of these alleged failures, Ivy Entertainment is asking the court to order PMF to return the ₹218 crore they invested, along with 18% annual interest. In addition, Ivy has named PMF’s directors Vishwa Prasad Tumbalam Gooty and Subramanya Vivekananda Kuchibhotla in the petition, as well as several post-production vendors. The petition requests that these parties be stopped from making any further deals or claims involving The Raja Saab.

The film is said to be a big-budget project, reportedly costing around ₹400 crore. Directed by Maruthi, The Raja Saab is a horror-comedy in which Prabhas plays a dual role. The cast also includes Sanjay Dutt, Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan (marking her debut in Telugu cinema), and Riddhi Kumar. The film has been in production since 2022 and is currently planned for release on December 5, 2025.
Fans have been eagerly looking forward to this movie, especially because it combines Prabhas’ star power with a unique mix of horror and comedy. However, with this legal case now in progress, it remains to be seen if the release date will be affected. For now, the court will decide the next steps in resolving the dispute between Ivy Entertainment and People Media Factory.
