Filmmaker Mohit Suri recently shared his thoughts on why he feels Alia Bhatt and Shraddha Kapoor have been biased in their support of his latest movie, Saiyaara. In an interview with Zoom, he praised their love for the film but admitted that their support came from a personal connection rather than just the film itself.
Mohit Suri Says Alia, Shraddha Are Biased
According to Mohit, both Alia and Shraddha started supporting Saiyaara from the moment its teaser was released. He jokingly said, “They are biased towards me.” Even though their encouragement meant a lot to him, Mohit added that seeing the general audience love the film the same way was even more special.

Mohit also recalled a sweet memory about Alia Bhatt from her childhood. He said that when he made his first film Zeher in 2005, he showed the music video of the song Woh Lamhe Woh Baatein to Mahesh Bhatt. At the time, Alia was very young and not yet an actress. While Mahesh Bhatt didn’t completely understand the video, Alia instantly liked it. She told her father, “This is really cool, papa.” Mohit said this showed that Alia had a strong sense of what works in cinema, even as a child. He praised her for being more commercially smart than many people in the industry.

Saiyaara, Mohit’s latest film, stars newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda. It tells the story of Krish and Vaani, a singer and a lyricist, who fall in love while following their dreams.
