German TikTok star Noel Robinson, known worldwide for his energetic street dance videos, was briefly detained by police in Bengaluru, India. He was shooting a dance video in traditional Indian clothes on a busy street when a large crowd gathered, causing concerns about public safety.
German TikToker Noel Robinson Detained In Bengaluru For Filming
Police stopped the shoot and took Noel to the police station for around 15 minutes. He was fined for filming without permission. A video posted on his Instagram showed him being led to a police vehicle, where he appeared to bump his head while being guided by an officer.
Noel Robinson later reassured his fans that he was safe. In a post, he wrote, “This was my first time being taken to the police station! I was scared they would send me to prison, but everything was fine. I’m safe, and I love India.”
He also added that such incidents can happen in any country and people should not blame India for it. “One little experience like that won’t take away my love for India,” he said.

Interestingly, this is not the first time a foreign TikToker faced an issue while filming in Bengaluru. Earlier, another German influencer, Younes Zarou, was also stopped by police in the Church Street area for attracting a large crowd during a shoot.

Reactions to Noel’s experience were mixed. While some social media users praised his positive attitude and love for India, others were upset about how he was treated. One user commented that guests should not be handled roughly, while another said the police were just doing their duty and it was a minor issue.
Noel Robinson, born in 2001, has Nigerian roots and was raised in Germany by his mother, a nurse. He is popular for his unique dance style and often surprises viewers by revealing his afro hair as part of his routine.
Even after this experience, Noel remains positive and continues to show his love and respect for India and its people.
