Two senior executives from a tech company called Astronomer have stepped down after a video from a Coldplay concert went viral. The video, taken during the concert in Boston on July 16, showed a man and a woman on the “kiss cam.” Many people online guessed that the pair were Andy Byron, the CEO of Astronomer, and Kristin Cabot, the company’s Chief People Officer.

In the video, the two people are seen smiling and hugging. But as soon as they realize they are on the big screen, they quickly move out of view. Coldplay’s lead singer, Chris Martin, commented on the moment live during the show. He joked, saying, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”

The video spread quickly on social media and led to a lot of speculation and questions about the two people involved. Soon after the video went viral, the company’s board launched an internal investigation.
On July 19, Astronomer officially announced that CEO Andy Byron had resigned. A few days later, on July 25, the company confirmed that Kristin Cabot had also left her position.
In their public statement, Astronomers said they expect their leaders to act responsibly and be role models. The company also said that it is committed to the same values it has followed since its start.

Pete DeJoy, one of the co-founders and the current Chief Product Officer, will serve as the interim CEO while the company searches for a new leader.
Neither Byron nor Cabot has made any public statements about the incident. However, the moment has sparked wide conversation online about professional behavior, workplace ethics, and privacy in public spaces.
