Popular Telugu actor and politician Pawan Kalyan is known for avoiding film promotions. He rarely gives interviews or attends press events for his movies. But this time, things are different. He is actively promoting his new film Hari Hara Veera Mallu, and fans are curious to know why.

At a press meet in Hyderabad, Pawan Kalyan explained his reasons. He said, “It’s not because of arrogance. I just feel shy to talk about myself or my films. I don’t know what to say, and I don’t enjoy speaking without a proper stage or reason.” He added that he decided to promote this movie only for the sake of the film’s producer, AM Rathnam, who has supported him for many years.

Pawan also called himself an “accidental actor.” He shared that, in the beginning of his career, producers thought he was not “sellable” as a star. He recalled an incident where he was asked to dance on a bus for a movie, and he felt like quitting acting altogether. “Magazines wouldn’t even print my photos,” he said. Over time, he simply got used to not promoting his movies.
He further added that if a movie is good, it speaks for itself and if it’s bad, then talking about it won’t help.
In Hari Hara Veera Mallu, Pawan plays the role of a brave warrior who challenges the Mughal empire and fights to take back the Koh-i-Noor diamond. The movie is directed by Krish and Jyothi Krisna, and stars Nidhhi Agerwal and Bobby Deol in key roles. The film is set to release in theatres on 24 July 2025, with special premieres on 23 July.
