Veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah has spoken out in support of singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh, who is facing criticism for working with Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in the upcoming film Sardaar Ji 3. Naseeruddin Shah Defends Diljit Amid Controversy
Naseeruddin Shah shared his opinion on social media, saying it is unfair to blame Diljit for the casting choices of the film. He explained that the film’s director was responsible for casting, not Diljit. Shah added that Diljit agreed to act in the movie because he does not have a hateful mindset.

Shah also criticized people who try to stop personal and cultural connections between the citizens of India and Pakistan. He said he has close friends and family in Pakistan, and no one can stop him from staying in touch with them. He strongly said that promoting hatred between people of the two countries is not the solution.
In his post, Naseeruddin also took a dig at people who tell others to “go to Pakistan” when they disagree. He replied to them by saying, “Go to Kailasa,” referring to the controversial fake country promoted by a spiritual leader.

The film Sardaar Ji 3 has not been released in India but has premiered overseas. After the trailer launched, some film industry groups in India called for a ban on Diljit and his future work. Singer Mika Singh also said that Diljit should apologize for working with a Pakistani actress.
