Popular actress Reem Shaikh recently opened up about the challenges she faces while trying to move from television to web series and Bollywood films. Reem is known for her roles in TV shows like Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and is currently seen in Laughter Chefs Season 2. Even though she is successful on TV, Reem wants to grow her career in films.
Reem Shaikh Talks About TV to Film Struggles
In a recent interview, Reem shared that even after trying very hard, she has not been able to make the jump from TV to films. She said, “I tried a lot, but it’s not easy. Makers of web shows and movies often say they don’t want TV actors.” She understands this and believes that the journey to films takes time, maybe three to four years.

However, Reem also explained why taking a break from work to try her luck in films was not possible for her. “To take such a long break, you need money to survive. Who will take care of the house?” she asked. Reem believes that the early years of your career (like 17 to 22) are important to earn and build your future.
She added that she did not want to stop working when she was getting good offers. For her, working not only brings income but also keeps her happy and focused. She said that when she is not working, she feels uneasy. “I love buying things for my mother with my own money. That makes me happy,” Reem said.

Reem also gave advice to others who are planning to move from TV to films. She said that if someone can afford to take a break for a few years and wait for the right opportunity, they should go for it. But for her, staying busy and supporting her family comes first.
Reem Shaikh continues to work hard and hopes to make it to Bollywood one day, showing that with patience and dedication, dreams can still come true.
