The much-awaited film Kuberaa, starring Dhanush, Nagarjuna, and Rashmika Mandanna, has finally hit the theatres. Released as a pan-India film in multiple languages including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi, Kuberaa had a decent start at the box office. On its opening day, the film earned ₹13 crore, which is slightly less than Dhanush’s previous film Raayan, which opened with ₹16 crore.

The movie received the best response from Telugu-speaking regions. The overall occupancy in Telugu theatres was quite strong, with more people coming in as the day progressed. It started with around 39% occupancy in the morning and reached nearly 79% by night. However, in other regions like Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Hindi-speaking areas, the response was much lower. Still, industry experts believe that Kuberaa might perform better in the coming days due to positive word-of-mouth and strong performances.

Kuberaa tells a powerful rag-to-riches story where Dhanush plays a man who rises from being a beggar to something bigger. His performance has been praised for its raw emotion and depth. Social media is full of positive reactions to his role. Nagarjuna and Rashmika Mandanna have also been appreciated for taking up unique and meaningful roles in the film. Their presence added strength to the movie and attracted fans across different states.
Adding to the emotional moment, Dhanush watched the film with his son Linga on the release day. He was seen getting emotional as the crowd responded with loud cheers and support.

Although Kuberaa had a slightly slower opening compared to some big releases like Kamal Haasan’s Thug Life, it still made a solid impact. With strong weekend collections expected, the film might recover and become a success in the coming weeks.
