Telugu actress Ramya Sri and her brother Prashant faced a shocking attack during a land dispute in Hyderabad. The incident happened near Gachibowli Police Station on June 17, 2025, while officials from the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) were marking roads. The area is known as the FCI Colony layout, and the road marking was taking place in front of local plot owners.

According to reports, trouble started when some men, linked to Sridhar Rao, the owner of Sandhya Convention Hall, objected to the filming of the road-marking process. This disagreement quickly escalated into a violent fight. The attackers physically assaulted Ramya Sri and her brother, causing injuries. Ramya Sri owns property in the colony and accused Sridhar Rao and his group of threatening her and trying to take over land unlawfully.

A video shared on social media shows Ramya Sri visibly upset, saying that the attackers tried to kill them in broad daylight, right outside the police station. After the attack, Ramya Sri and her brother filed an official complaint with the Gachibowli Police. So far, the police have not made any official statement regarding the case.
Ramya Sri is a well-known Indian actress and filmmaker who works mostly in Telugu, Kannada, and Tamil films. She has also acted in some Malayalam, Hindi, and Bhojpuri movies. Ramya Sri started her acting career in 1997 and has appeared in many popular films. She gained special recognition for her role in the movie O Malli, for which she received an award from the Andhra Pradesh government.
