Popular actor Rana Daggubati recently shared a funny and unexpected moment from the making of Rana Naidu Season 2. While speaking to the media, he revealed how he didn’t realize that he was actually abusing his own uncle, Venkatesh Daggubati, in some intense scenes of the show’s first season.
Rana Daggubati Shocked After Abusing Venkatesh
Rana explained that during the filming of the first season, he didn’t fully understand the Hindi lines he was speaking. At the time, he thought the dialogues were fine. But later, when he was dubbing the scenes in Telugu, he finally understood the actual meaning and was shocked. His first reaction was, “What did I say!” He found the situation both surprising and funny.

Despite the bold dialogues, Rana mentioned that both he and his uncle Venkatesh were in character and dressed for their roles. He said that because they were deep into their roles, it was acceptable and fun. According to him, Rana Naidu is different from anything either of them has done before, and they enjoy the creative freedom the show gives them.
Rana also said that he had always wanted to work with his uncle. Ever since he became an actor, he hoped for a project where they could work together. He called Venkatesh a phenomenal co-actor and shared that working with him made the experience even better.

He also appreciated Rana Naidu for being a unique show. He said it was truly a pan-India series, with characters coming from opposite backgrounds. This allows their journey to continue across multiple seasons. Rana believes the series has much more to offer and fans can expect more intense and entertaining episodes.
