Akshay Kumar’s comedy film Housefull 5 has made a strong impact at the box office, becoming one of the biggest Hindi films of 2025. In just five days, the film has collected ₹111.25 crore across India, beating Salman Khan’s action film Sikandar, which earned ₹110.1 crore in 22 days. With this, Housefull 5 has become the fourth highest-grossing Hindi movie of the year so far.
Housefull 5 Beats Sikandar at Box Office
Housefull 5 is the latest part of the popular comedy franchise starring Akshay Kumar, and it is full of fun, laughter, music, and a large cast of famous actors. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, the movie features Riteish Deshmukh, Fardeen Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, and others. The film opened strong, earning ₹24 crore on Friday, ₹31 crore on Saturday, and ₹32.5 crore on Sunday. Even on weekdays, the collections remained good with ₹13 crore on Monday and ₹10.75 crore on Tuesday.

The success of Housefull 5 is a big moment for Akshay Kumar, who had faced some failures in the past. However, 2025 has been better for him with successful films like Sky Force and Kesari 2. The comedy, catchy songs, and powerful cast helped Housefull 5 bring in large crowds to theatres, even with tough competition from other releases this year.
In comparison, Salman Khan’s Sikandar started well with ₹26 crore on its opening day and ₹29 crore on Monday. But after that, the collections dropped quickly. In its second and third week, the film earned much less and could not maintain its position at the box office. Despite a good start, Sikandar fell behind Housefull 5 in just a few days.
