In 2024, CID made a grand comeback with a new season titled CID 2, streaming on Netflix. The makers brought back some of the most iconic characters, including ACP Pradyuman, Daya, and Dr. Salunkhe. But now, fans are heartbroken after seeing the sudden exit of Dr. Salunkhe from the show.

Dr. Salunkhe, played by actor Narendra Gupta, was one of the most important members of the original CID team. His forensic skills and unique personality made him a favorite among viewers. He was known for solving some of the most complicated cases with his knowledge of science. So, when the makers decided to remove his character in the latest episodes of CID 2, it shocked and angered many fans.

Before this, actor Parth Samthaan, who played ACP Ayushman, had also left the show and shared an emotional goodbye on his social media page. His exit too was noticed by fans, but Dr. Salunkhe’s removal has caused even more backlash online.
