Amazon has announced the release date for the second season of “Gen V,” a popular spinoff of the hit series “The Boys.” The new season will begin on September 17, 2025, with the first three episodes. After that, new episodes will come out every Wednesday until the season ends on October 22, 2025.

“Gen V” is set at Godolkin University, a place where young people with special powers, called Supes, learn to control and use their abilities. The second season will show how the country struggles under the control of Homelander, a powerful and feared Supe. Meanwhile, back at the university, a new mysterious Dean is trying to teach students a new way to become even stronger.

The story follows characters like Cate, Sam, Marie, Jordan, and Emma, who return to college after facing many challenges and losses. The show reveals a secret program at the university that has a big impact on everyone, and Marie is closely connected to it. There is also a brewing conflict between humans and Supes, which adds tension to the story.
The first season of “Gen V” was well liked by fans and critics. It starred actors such as Jaz Sinclair, Maddie Phillips, and the late Chance Perdomo. Sadly, Chance Perdomo passed away in early 2024, and Amazon confirmed that his character, Andre Anderson, will not be recast. The second season’s story was changed to honor him, and production was delayed out of respect.
The new season has added Hamish Linklater to the cast as Dean Cipher, the new head of the university. The show is created by Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters and is produced by Amazon Studios along with Sony Pictures Television.
