Akshay Kumar’s latest film, Kesari 2: Chapter 2 is doing really well at the box office. The movie has impressed audiences and has made a strong collection on its second Sunday. On Day 10, the film earned Rs 8.15 crore in India alone. Its total domestic collection has now reached Rs 65.45 crore. With its good performance in India and overseas, Kesari 2 is now aiming to enter the Rs 100 crore club globally in just a few more days.
Kesari 2 Nears 100 Crore Worldwide
The film, which also stars Madhavan and Ananya Panday, has become a favorite for moviegoers, especially over the weekend. Interestingly, Kesari 2 had a decent occupancy rate, with more people coming in for afternoon and evening shows. Cities like Chennai and Bengaluru showed the highest audience turnout, with Chennai having more than 52% occupancy and Bengaluru over 45%.

Kesari 2 is currently standing strong among the top Bollywood films of the year. It is placed at number five, behind other major films like Chhaava, Skyforce, Sikandar, and Jatt. On its tenth day, Kesari 2 performed much better than some of these other films. For example, Jatt made only Rs 3.75 crore and Sikandar collected Rs 1.5 crore on their respective tenth days. Only Chhaava had a bigger Day 10, making an impressive Rs 40 crore.

The success of Kesari: Chapter 2 is even more special because it has managed to perform well despite facing competition from other films like Sunny Deol’s Jatt and popular regional movies like Good Bad Ugly in Tamil and Thudarum in Malayalam. However, the film might soon face strong competition with the release of Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2, which is expected to arrive in theaters soon.
