Veteran Bollywood actor and filmmaker Manoj Kumar, known for his patriotic films, has passed away at the age of 87. He breathed his last in the early hours of April 4, 2025, at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. According to reports, he had been unwell for the past few weeks due to age-related health issues.

Manoj Kumar, often called ‘Bharat Kumar’ for his strong nationalist themes in films, was one of the most respected figures in Indian cinema. His movies like Upkar, Purab Aur Paschim, Kranti, and Roti Kapda Aur Makaan left a lasting impact on audiences. He was honored with the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award for his contributions to Indian cinema.
