Expected Plot of Kagurabachi Chapter 41
In the next Kagurabachi Chapter 41, Kyora Sazanami is expected to show more of the Shinuchi blade’s power. Even with just a small part of its power, the blade has already scared Chihiro Rokuhira. Hiyuki Kagari’s arrival might help Chihiro, but Hakuri is very tired and may not help for long. We might also learn about the original Shinuchi user and the blade’s history.
Recap of Kagurabachi Chapter 40
Chapter 40, called “The Tip,” continues with Kyora Sazanami getting ready to use the Shinuchi Enchanted Blade’s power. The audience, including the Kamunabi sorcerers, is excited to see what happens. Chihiro Rokuhira uses Kuro to attack the ground where Kyora is hiding.
We see a flashback where Shiba thinks about why the Hishaku want the Shinuchi. He guesses that the Hishaku are trying to get the Kamunabi to bid for it. The Hishaku want to use the blade but can’t unless the original user is dead. The original users are well-protected by the Kamunabi, making it hard to get to them. Shiba realizes that if the blade goes to Kamunabi, it will create a distraction, letting the Hishaku kill the original users and break the Eternal Contracts.
Chihiro remembers his father, Kunishige Rokuhira, saying Shinuchi is very unusual, so it is more guarded than other Enchanted Blades. Shiba tells Chihiro that the seals on Shinuchi’s box were placed by Kamunabi leaders and only they can open it. A sorcerer could also break the seals, but it would take at least ten years for an experienced one to do this.
In the present, Chihiro sees Shinuchi’s box on the ground with its seals broken. The scene shifts to Hishaku’s leader, who says it took him three years to open the box. The leader knows using the blade is risky but wants to test it with Kyora.
Back in the battle, Chihiro feels something strange as Kyora comes out of the ground with black eyes and holding the unsheathed Shinuchi. The original Shinuchi user is shown chanting ‘Magatsumi’ (Curved Sin), the blade’s real name. Kyora stands in blood with flowers growing from it and a butterfly flying to the blade. The butterfly touches Kyora’s hand, turning his Spirit Energy into a big butterfly. Kyora realizes he can’t fully unsheathe the blade but charges at Chihiro, showing the Shinuchi can cut even with little power. Meanwhile, Hakuri is very tired, and Hiyuki Kagari arrives, asking about the situation.
